Kenyan Team Pursues Film co-production with Holy Wood.

More Kenyan film makers are set to feature in Hollywood films following discussions between a Kenyan delegation and United States film company D Street Media that sought co-productions between Kenyan and US artistes.

The Kenyan team, led by Sports and the Arts Principal Secretary Mr. Joe Okudo and Kenya Film Classification Board Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, is in Cannes(France) to attend the Cannes Film Festival.

During the meeting, the Kenyan delegation also discussed a possible partnership with the European Union through grant funding that could help in propelling the industry in Production and infrastructure, besides other areas of cooperation aimed at making film a viable and commercially beneficial venture.

Kenya is pursuing an MOU, which will facilitate top Hollywood Stars do co-productions with our Kenyan actors. The movies will be shot in Kenya, with Kenyan actors playing prominent roles alongside Hollywood Stars.

This arrangement will ultimately expose our actors to the world and open a vista of opportunities besides branding Kenya, attracting investment in the industry and promoting the tourism industry.
