Kenya Film Classification Board has today unveiled Ms. Betty Adera, a renowned champion of youth matters the founder of the Betty Adera Foundation as the National Clean Content Ambassador.
Betty is best remembered for contesting in the first-ever Ms. President Competition that ran on KTN in 2019 and was crowned Ms. President, Nairobi County.
She recently won a glamorous award at the Talent-Prenuer Gala for her outstanding role in championing youth issues and for being an icon and inspiration to the youth.
Speaking during a press conference on Monday 24th February, 2020, the Board’s CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua reiterated that the Board’s nomination of Ms. Betty Adera as a National Clean Content Ambassador is a testament to her integrity and commitment to the values espoused by the Board, namely honesty, hard work, integrity and perseverance.
“Betty’s nomination is part of the Board’s wider strategy to support the youths of Kenya, particularly those in the creative sector to embrace moral values as an integral part of business development and success in life,” Dr. Mutua said.
The Board continues to reiterate the need for clean content on the airwaves, informing the inclusion of clean content Ambassadors in the spirited campaign against unpalatable film and broadcast content.
