As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, the Kenya Film Classification Board earlier today donated 100 plastic chairs to City Primary School, which cares for children with special needs.
The contribution follows the Board’s Media Literacy Programme that was held in the school in July this year, when KFCB’s team conducting the initiative learned that the children did not have enough seats.
Receiving the seats this morning, the school’s Board of Management and staff appreciated the Board’s assistance and pledged to continue working to help the children to learn. They also committed to continue working with KFCB to empower children with information on the potential harmful effects of content.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ezekiel Mutua reiterated the Board’s commitment to work with learning institutions to create awareness on the dangers of unregulated film and broadcast content.
