KFCB Honors Ari Michelle Mboya’s “The Camel’s Back”.

Kenya Film Classification Board Corporate Communications Manager Ms. Nelly Muluka presents a trophy for Ari Michelle Mboya’s “The Camel’s Back”.

The Kenyan short film topped in the “Short Films” category during the Mashariki African Film Festival held in Kigali, Rwanda in March, 2017. It was ranked at the top under the Best East African Fiction category. “Water to Dust”, also from Kenya, by Mitchell Jangara, scooped the best documentary award.

Out of the five trophies awarded in the festival’s closing ceremony, two went to Kenya, making Kenya the country that won the highest number of awards in the 3rd Edition of the Mashariki Film Festival. Wangechi Ngugi
