Principal Secretary (Heritage) Ms Josephta Mukobe presided over the Pana African Federation of Filmmakers (FEPACI) forum held at Elysian Resort, Kiambu County.
The two-day forum themed The Film Industry We Want has brought together key stake holders in the film industry to discuss the way forward for the growth of the industry.
PS Mukobe stated that the players in the film industry are responsible for its growth and the government’s role is to ensure there is a conducive environment for the filmmakers.
The PS also affirmed that the film industry like other professions has regulations that guide the industry.
The forum has brought together the Department of Film Services (DFS), Kenya Film Commission (KFC), Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), Script Writers, Producers, and Directors in the film industry.
