KFCB signs Memorandum of Understanding with members of the Digital Broadcasters Association (DBA).

The Kenya Film Classification Board has this morning signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Broadcasters Association, in a move aimed at promoting the implementation of the Programming Code for Free-to-Air Radio and Television Services in Kenya.

As part of the resolutions of the MoU, all DBA Members have committed to comply with KFCB ‘s classification guidelines and all other regulations governing content distribution in Kenya.

Further, DBA Television stations will display the KFCB rating symbols at the beginning of each Programme submitting a list of programmes slated for production for issuance with filming licences.

In line with the MoU, the classification and licences fees will be converted to airtime for KFCB public sensitization announcements, and airtime for other government agencies.
