Public Sensitization Program at Karatina University

The Board’s Media Literacy Programme team today held a highly successful public sensitization program at Karatina University, where students were informed about the harmful effects of inappropriate film and broadcast content.
Themed “Media and Moral Values”, the event attracted more than 3000 young people to an interactive session that mainly dwelt on sensitizing the young prople on the impact of negative influences of media content on moral values.
Participants had an opportunity to interact with Gospel music icon Size 8, Creative Generations comedy duo, Sammy Ondimu Ngare (Aka Askari ni Binadamu ), among other great speakers who motivated them to work hard and embrace values.
The Board has intensified the content safety campaign to empower young people with information on how bad content can ruin their lives, with an aim to help the youth to make informed choices in content consumption. Sammy Ondimu Ngare
