Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, today presided over a brief graduation ceremony for 22 Gatundu North Creatives (GNC) that the Board sponsored for a crush program training at the Kenya Film School (KFS) to fine-tune their skills in acting and other aspects of film production in December last year.
The sponsorship was part of the Board’s partnership with the Gatundu North Constituency to identify and nurture youth talents for job creation under the Sinema Mashinani initiative that is aligned to the Presidential Big 4 Agenda.
The event held at the KFCB mini-theatre, Uchumi House, 14th floor was attended KFS Director Mr Hezekiah Kimondo alongside her Deputy Victoria Goro.
Also present at the graduation event was Gatundu North MP Hon. Wanjiku Kibeh who initiated the Gatundu North Creatives.
In his remarks during the graduation, Dr. Mutua said KFCB will continue to engage creatives from all parts of the country in efforts to champion for moral values and national aspirations.
He added that Board will work with like-minded institutions to create a facilitative environment for the youth to identify, nurture and showcase their talents.
On her part, Hon. Kibeh lauded KFCB for facilitating the Creatives for the training at KFS, noting that her office will continue to partner with the Board in creating employment opportunities for the youth.
