The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua joined the former Vice President H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka on Saturday 2nd November, 2019 for the Annual Cultural Extravaganza at the Marist International University College.
Speaking during the event aims at bringing together different cultural nationalities within the institution, Mr. Kalonzo reiterated that Africa needs a cultural reawakening in the 21st century to ensure that young scholars and people don’t lose focus on their rich diverse cultures.
Hon. Kalonzo encouraged the Marist University Management and the entire student’s fraternity to continue organizing such cultural festivals since it is a sure way of promoting creativity and innovation in the Theatre and Arts sector and is also a way of fostering self-employment mentality among young people graduating from institutions of higher in Kenya and other African countries.
In his keynote remarks, Dr. Mutua commended the good work by the institutions of higher learning like the Marist University towards talent and cultural development among the students.
“Let us embrace more on Creative Arts and cultural events so as to identify and nurture talents among our students with the aim of creating job opportunities,” Dr. Mutua said.
The CEO added that KFCB is committed to work with institutions of higher learning to promote cultural diversity and clean content.
