The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), Chief Executive Officer, (CEO), Dr. EzekielMutua, MBS, on 22nd June, 2020 held a Zoom meeting with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Director-General, Mr. George Njao and explored areas and modalities for interagency collaboration in Clean Content campaigns in Public Service Vehicle (PSV) sector.
The collaboration between KFCB and NTSA is geared towards bringing back sanity in the transport sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Mutua reiterated that the Board will continue to create consumer awareness in PSVs through the clean content campaigns.
He stated that KFCB will work closely with the NTSA alongside PSV associations as well as other relevant Government agencies in the campaign to restore order in the transport sector.
The CEO observed that KFCB has so far registered 500 vehicles for compliance and will continue
to work with their associations and other partners to ensure more compliance and consumer
awareness on clean content.
“The Board will work with NTSA on a framework of engagement through which the two organizations will collaborate in ensuring compliance to the clean content guidelines for PSVs,” Dr. Mutua added.
On his part, Mr. Njao said that NTSA will collaborate with KFCB in the clean content campaigns in PSVs as well as issues related to licensing.
“The role of ensuring order and discipline in the PSV industry is a collective responsibility,” Mr. Njao said.
The Board is keen on forging partnerships with like-minded institutions aimed at promoting talent and creating job opportunities for the youth in line with the Presidential Big 4 Agenda.
