KFCB CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua represented the Board at the prestigious 14th annual Groove Awards Gala on 2nd June, 2019 at the Movenpick Hotel, Nairobi.
The Groove Awards epitomizes the best of our gospel music industry in Kenya and this platform has nurtured many artistes whilst helping to populate the airwaves with clean and inspiring content.
While awarding Kabi wa Jesus and Milly Wa Jesus of the wa Jesus family the Online Digital Media Personality of the year award, Dr Mutua reiterated the Board’s spirited fight in the war against protecting our children and the general public from exposure to harmful content through broadcast media,
Dr. Mutua urged artists in the Gospel Music industry to continue with their commitment to producing clean content and that their creativity and vision continue to give hope in our society to help reverse the wave of moral decay in Kenya.
In attendance, was Nairobi County Women Representative Hon. Esther Passaris amongst various religious leaders from mainstream churches in Kenya.
Dr. Mutua thanked Pastors Patrick Kuchio and Nick Korir for standing with the youth of Kenya and for being relevant to the youth and giving hope to the hopeless.
The CEO echoed that the Government recognizes the Groove Networks and the Private Sector’s immense contribution in mentoring youths through music.
In closing remarks, Dr Mutua congratulated the Overall Winner of the Groove Awards 2019 Eunice Njeri and urged her to continue impacting and inspiring the society through music.
