Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezekiel Mutua joined Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF) for the Annual Associates Workshop at Alliance Girls’ High School on Saturday 8th June 2019. The CEO spoke on ‘Raising a Godly generation’ (The Teacher as a parent), where he emphasized on the role teachers play in shaping the next generation of the citizenry and assured full support from KFCB in moulding the children. Dr. Mutua acknowledged the role of the teacher in informing young minds of rights and wrongs, adding that teachers are a significant constituent in carrying out our mandate.
“A teacher should be a shepherd, lead and nurture students as well as inspire them as role models,” said Dr. Mutua. He further urged teachers to create more time for students in schools as well as building caring relationships with the learners under their care.
Also gracing the occasion were the Teachers Service Commission Kiambu County Deputy Director Faith Kirimi, Alliance Girls’ High School Principal Virginia Gitonga and KSCF Greater Nairobi Chairperson Jacob Mwangi.
