KFCB GEARED TOWARDS TAPPING AND NURTURING TALENTS AMONG STUDENTS

The Kenya Film Classification Board accompanied by Focus Beyond Imagination (FBI) Dance Crew held public a Sensitization Forum on Clean content and Media Literacy Program at Naivasha Girls’ Secondary school during the school’s Cultural Day on 27th July, 2019.

Head of Broadcast Monitoring Unit (BMU) Mrs. Emmah Irungu represented the Board’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, MBS at the event.

The FBI Dance Crew who will be representing the African Continent in the upcoming International Hip Hop Olympic Competition in Arizona, USA in August entertained students, teachers and non-teaching staff during the event.

In her remarks, Mrs. Irungu urged the students to focus on Talent and Creative skills since it is the gateway to more job opportunities.

She reiterated that the Board is committed towards partnering with learning institutions to tap and nurture talents among the students.

“The Board aims to identify, nurture young Creative and encourage them to be creators of Clean content that preserves our national values and national aspirations,” she said.

The Cultural Day was meant for students to showcase their talents and integrate with each other in effort to enhance unity.

The Board is geared towards tapping and nurturing talents among students based on Clean content.
