KFCB HOSTS MULTI-CHOICE TALENT ACADEMY FILM SCREENINGS

Kenya Film Classification Board was honored to host the Multi-Choice Talent Factory’s (MTF) inaugural class screenings at its newly refurbished Nairobi Film Centre (NFC), formerly Nairobi Cinema, on 7th August, 2019.

During the event, MTF showcased two of their film productions called ‘Ensulo’ and ‘Promises’ which will be made available on Maisha Magic East, Maisha Magic Bongo and Pearl Magic.

In his key note address during the screenings, the Boards Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua lauded Multi-Choice Kenya’s efforts that geared towards revolutionizing the Creative economy in the country and Africa at large.

Dr. Mutua also applauded Multi-Choice, noting that their programs are compliant with CAP 222 of the Laws of Kenya.

He said the Board will continue to partner with Multi-Choice and other stakeholders on the Sinema Mashinani Initiative that seeks to create jobs for the young people.

Sinema Mashinani is the Board’s flagship project whose key objective is to identify and nurture talent among the youth with the aim of enabling the creation of jobs and stimulation of wealth in the Creative economy. The Initiative is anchored on the Manufacturing Pillar of the Presidential Big Four Agenda.

Nairobi Film Centre is a product of the Sinema Mashinani and is envisioned as a one-stop-shop for filmmakers in Kenya.
