KFCB LAUNCHES COUNTYWIDE CRACKDOWN ON ROGUE PSVs EXHIBITING UNRATED CONTENT

Kenya Film Classification Board has launched a countrywide crackdown on Public Service Vehicles exhibiting unrated content without the requisite exhibition license as stipulated in the Stage Plays Act Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya. The KFCB Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, launched the crackdown on Tuesday 4th February, 2020 along the Magadi road (Rongai-Nairobi route) where the Board experienced 100% compliance. The exercise will be carried out across the country and is aimed at protecting the children against exposure to harmful media content displayed in some PSVs fitted with screens.
