The Kenya Film Classification Board led by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, today 6th July 2018, issued air-tickets and other forms of sponsorship to ten filmmakers nominated for the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2018.
The CEO highlighted the film MISFIT, which has been produced by youths from the informal settlement and which captures the realities and struggles that come with albinism. Themed: TOO BLACK TO BE WHITE , TOO WHITE TO BE BLACK, the film has been nominated in the School category.
“MISFIT is truly a story of hope that addresses the challenges that come with albinism,” said Dr. Mutua.
The event was graced by Nominated Senator Hon. Dr. Isaac Mwaura, co-founder Albinism Society of Kenya. He is also serving as the National Coordinator of the Society.
