Kenya Film Classification Board has partnered with the Mondragon University in Basque, Spain to document the Africa Basque Challenge through film. The Africa Basque Challenge is an initiative of the Mondragon University that creates a platform for youth from Kenya, the Basque Country and Spain to compete in innovative ideas with positive social impact on the society.
This year’s Challenge brought together 44 youths who came up with 11 innovative ways of using readily available resources as a means to create employment and stimulate economic growth in various industries. Out of the eleven innovations, the top four are based in Kenya.
KFCB plans to introduce a film category in the next edition of the Challenge in a bid to nurture talent and create employment opportunities for youth in the creative industry.
