The Board Chairman Bishop Emeritus Jackson Kosgei and CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua today led the management in a meeting with the Kenya National Drama and Film Festival (KNDFF) Secretariat led by the Chairman Prof. C. J Odhiambo and Executive Secretary James Indimuli to review this year’s National Festival and State Concert held at Kibabii University in Bungoma County two weeks ago. The Board and the Secretariat under the Ministry of Education agreed to continue with the collaboration to make the KNDFF a platform for job creation for the youth.
The team also laid out strategies to execute the directive by the Deputy President His Excellency Dr. William Ruto that the winning items are to be turned into films.
“Our objective to identify and nurture talent while inculcating moral values among the youth will be actualized through enhanced collaboration that will include capacity building for script writers and directors of the festival,” Dr. Mutua said. Dr. Mutua also commended the KNDFF secretariat officials for their commitment and visionary to take the Kenya National Drama and Film Festival to the next level.
