KWANTHANZE BAGS GOLD IN EAST AFRICA GAMES

Kwanthanze High School emerged the Girls’ Volleyball Champions in the recently concluded
18th Edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations
(FEASSSA) games.
This followed a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-18) win against Cheptil Secondary School in the finals
played at the Tanzania Games Track and Safaris (TGT) grounds in Arusha, Tanzania and marked
their 4th consecutive victory of the East African games.
Kwanthanze won 3-0 (25-16, 27-25, 25-12) against Kenyan counterparts Soweto Academy in the
semi-finals played on August 22nd after a heavily contested quarter finals played with Kinawa
High School of Uganda where they won 3-0 (25- 15, 25- 15, 25- 23).
The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) was the Brand Sponsor of Kwanthanze High
School at FEASSSA games in an endeavor to nurture talents under the Sinema Mashinani
initiative as well as advocating for clean content consumption in the Board’s Media Literacy
program dubbed: You Are What You Consume.
