The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has awarded the fifth winning crew of the KFCB #FormNiSafi PSV Awards. The ‘ArchAngel’, NTVRS Sacco, KCV 846M driven by Benard and Rashid as the conductor, plying on Ngong Road bagged the Ksh.10,000 cash prize. The crew was nominated by members of the public, vetted by the Board and the public voted. The winners bagged the cash award for compliance to the licensing requirement by obtaining an exhibitor’s license worth Ksh. 2,000 annually, playing clean content and observing the COVID-19 regulations as guided by the Ministry of Health. KFCB Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Nelly Muluka, officiated over the awarding ceremony held at the Junction Stage on 5th June, 2020 in company of Mr. Justine Ombati, KFCB Regional Head, Nairobi and the campaign co-ordinator Mr. Sammy Ondimu Ngare, a police officer and one of the Board’s Clean Content Ambassadors. The National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) Road Safety Manager, Mr. Samuel Musumba, and Ms. Joyce Njoroge, Officer Road Safety, NTSA presented the cash award to the wining crew. Mr. Musumba said NTSA is glad to work with KFCB in the PSV clean content campaign, an initiative that aims at ensuring that matatus play clean content. The #FomuNiSafi PSV campaign is on Lang’ata road this week.
