The Kenya Film Classification Board participated in the Zanzibar International Film Festival, which attracted more than 14,000 participants.
The Board”s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezekiel Mutua spoke on the impact of digital migration on the film industry in Kenya and regulation.
The festivals provide an opportunity for sharing of ideas on content creation, distribution and marketing and are part of KFCB’s efforts to make regional integration a reality.
The region has a unique market with a huge potential in the film sector. The East African Community can provide a major trading block for the creative arts through harmonization of policies and ease of doing business across the borders.
