The Kenya Film Classification Board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK).
Under the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate in public sensitization programs on responsible consumption of content and preserving Kenya’s culture and moral values.
Speaking during the signing of the MOU at Royal Castle Inn in Mombasa this morning, KFCB CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua said the0 collaboration is a fulfilment of KFCB’s commitment to work with religious institutions to promote moral values.
CIPK Organising Secretary Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa welcomed the partnership saying KFCB has an important role of promoting moral values through content. He was accopanied by Sheikh Fowzy Twala.
KFCB Corporate Communications Manager Ms. Nelly Muluka, Legal head Ms. Loice Shalakha and Mombasa Region head Mr. Boniventure Kioko were among the KFCB team that took part in the ceremony.
