PAVILLON AFRIQUES AT THE 72ND CANNES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Kenya Film Classification Board Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, leading discussions with Kenyan independent distributors – Cindy Mbae and Wilfred Kinyanjui alongside Producer Beatrice Wang’ondu – on a collaborative strategy for distribution of Kenyan content to international markets.

The discussions explored ways of training filmmakers to ensure that productions meet the threshold of markets for which they are intended, while at the same time generating profit for the filmmakers and the Kenyan film industry in general.

KFCB committed to work with distributors to provide a facilitative environment for production of high quality film content that will compete on the global film market and empower youths in the creative industry with information on proper placement of their film products on international platforms.
