The Cabinet Secretary for ICT Joe Mucheru was the Chief Guest at the official screening of the main Sustainable Blue Economy Film titled GOING BLUE and the launch of the refurbished Nairobi Cinema hosted by the KFCB CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua.
The Film was produced by the Board in collaboration with UNDP Kenya and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the Blue Economy Film and Photography Festival. The Board has since taken the management and refurbishment of Nairobi Cinema that has culminated to its participation in the Blue Economy Conference.
The event was also graced by the PS for Broadcast and Telecommunication Fatuma Hirsi, PS for IT Jerome Ochieng, KFCB Chairman Bishop Jackson Kosgei, KFCB Directors and members of Parliamentary Committee on ICT. Representatives from government agencies, industry players, university students and members the general public were also in attendance.
While addressing the fully packed auditorium, the CS lauded the Board’s efforts and promised to support its future projects. On his part, the CEO called the creative industry to take advantage of the will be state of the art facility which will also incorporate fashion, and photo gallery.
